POLICE COURT.—Yesterday.
(JBeforo W. Musrr, Esq.., lUL) Duunkknness.-Franoia Kaiue, alias McKaine, was charged with having been drunk and incapable in Brown-street, Grahamstown, on the 30th instant. He was fiued 20a, or 48 hours' imprisonment. Same defendant was charged with a breach of the Vagrant A!ot in being a habitual druukard, having been three times convicted of drunkenness daring the preceding twelve months, tie denied having been so couvicted. The previous convictions were proved by Sergeant lilliotu Def'ondant said iliac he was a boot aud skod maker. lie intended to have gone to Auckland yesterday. He would never come before his Worship again. His Worship said he must administer the law as he found it. Re would sentence him to three mouths' imprisonment with hard labour.
