(Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, April 21. Mr. Hendry (E. P. BUCKLAND AND SONS. (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, April 21. Messrs. Bucklaud and Sons report;— At Westfield on Wednesday, April 19, tho fat cattle yarded numbered 3i9. Competition was keen and values advanced 3s per 1001 b. on last week s figures. Prime ox beef brought £1 Bs, ordinary £1 os to £1 6s 6d, cow and heifer £1 to £1 6s per 1001 b., steers £7 to £l4 7s 6d, cows and heifers £4 to £9 17» 6d. There was a fair supply of fat young, calves. Heavy calves were easier, but choice suckers sold freely at £1 10a to £2 10s, heavy £2 os to £3 3s, medium £1 5s to £1 16s, light 2s to 15s; 65 were sold. The mutton pens were well filled, and sheep of good quality ilaet a steady demand at last week s rates. Prime heavy wethers brought 19s 6d to £1 Is, medium 17s to 19s Vd, light and unfinished 14s to 16s 6d; ewes, extra 18s 6d to 19b 6d, heavy 16s to 18s. others 12s 6d to 14s 6d; 1426 were sold. Best woolly lambs brought 16s to 17s 6d, others 13s to 15s, stores 7s 6d to 10s 6d; 360 were sold. There was a moderate entry of pigs; baconers and porkers sold freely at a further advance of prices; baconers brought £2 8s to £3 Is, porkers (large) £1 15s £2 4s, lighter £1 8s to £1 14s, slips 12s to XSe, weaners 3s 6d to 8s; 75. were sold. Following is Mr. Newton King’s weekly report:— At Stratford on Tuesday there was a fair yarding, and although bidding was not so brisk as of late, a fair amount of business was done at tho following prices;—Mixed weanorsmade 17s to 31s, 15-months heifers £2 8s to £2 13s 6d, heifers R.W.B. £3 12s 6d to £4, 18months steers £2 17s to £3 8s 6d, store oows £2 7s to £3 13s 6d, forward cows £3 19s to £4 15s, fat cows £4 19s to £5 3s 6d, heifers at profit £5 to £6 ss, bulls (heavy) £4 15s to £6 12s 6d, ordinary £2 10s to £4 Bs, lambs ss, 4 and 6-tooth and f.m. ewes 11s 6d, fat ewes 13s to 14s, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 12s lid. At Stony River on Wednesday weaners made 25s 6d to 28s 6d, store cows £2 15s to £3 10s, forward cows £4 to £4 6s, fat cows £5 6s to £6 10s, springing cows up to £6 15s, bulls £4 10s, woolly lambs 8s 4d, small lambs 6s lOd, 4 and 6-tooth and f.m. ewes 6s 7d. At Urenui on Thursday weaners made 22s 6d to 365, 15 to 18-months steers £3 Is, empty heifers £2 14s, in calf heifers £3 2s to £5 Is, springing heifers £5 10s to £5 12s 6d, store cows £2 17s to £3 2s, forward cows £4 7s, fat cows £5 to £5 7s 6d, springing cows £5 7s 6d, cows and calves £3 14s to £4 Is, 3 to 4-year bullocks £6 5s to £6 10s, bulls £3 16g to £4 10s, light draught horses £ll to £lB.
