Helen Denny, barque, sailed from Newcastle April 7. ARRIVALS IN PORT. The Waimea arrived from "Westport this morning with 350 tons of State coal. Tho Koonya arrived from Southern ports last night, with 298 tons of cargo, including 1911 sacks of oats, 120 sacks of potatoes, and 62 sacks of grass seed. The Koonya left for Westport and Greyrnontli this afternoon. The Rosamond, which arrived from Wellington and Nelson this morning, brought. 87 tons of cargo, including transhipments ox Kaikoura, Norfolk, and Marnma, and a quantity of fruit from Nelson. ,Ono hundred and eighty sheep were shipped' to Auckland by the Rarawa last night. The Rarawn’s cargo last night included II casks of petroleum. It is reported that the Union Steam Ship Company , has under consideration tho question of purchasing n largo fourmasted sailing vessel, with a carrying capacity of about 3500 tons, to bo used ns a training-ship. Tho company’s training-ship Hartford is considered to be too small and old.
