A Railway League deputation to the Premier expressed satisfaction with the \ progress that. was being made with the construction or" the local railway, but urged the need fo;r opening br.anch lines.' The Premier; .replying, said the Government were doi^ig their -best for the whole Dominion,- subject^ to the limitations placed upon >them.yJle recognised this would be a great district, and the Government would push on with the line as rapidly as possible. The 1 subject of feeders to railways would have close attention. , ' •
