SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
ARRIVED. | Bltiff, February I.— Arrived: At H a.m., Ulimaroa, from Hobart, with ah English mail. . Auckland, February I.— Arrived : At 7 a.m., Sildra, from Sydney. Melbourne, February 1. — Arrived: Marere, from London.
The Rarawa brought 4760 feet of timber and 79 tons of cargo from Onehunga this morning, including 36 bags of cement, 50 sacks of superphosphates, 100 sacks of flour, 50 sacks of sharps. 247 bags of sugar, and 514 cases of fruit. It is understood that Messrs C. Juud and Co., of Thames, have received instructions from the Government to proceed with the construction of the lighthouse for Cape Brett. This will be the fourth lighthouse furnished by this i well-known firm, the previous being for the East Cape, Cape Colville, and Hikurangi Point. The lighthouses are from 55ft to 65ft high, and are generally admitted by experts to be exceptionally well built.
Trains will leave New Plymouth Station to connect with vessels at the breakwater as follows: —
TO-DAY. 8.10 p.m. — Rarawa, for North. TO-MORROW.
5.50 a.m. — Rotoiti, from North. 8 a.m. — Takapuna, from South. 11.15 a.m. — Rotoiti, for South. 8.10 p.m. — Takapuna, for North.
