UNITED SERVICE B v. HIGH SCHOOL.
At the T uka pa ground High School >Acre beaten fry I'mted Service B. by an innings and six runs. High School wont in rirst, Sumner and Grey opennig to the bowling of Southall anu Preshaw. The first wicket tell for 11 uuib. Thereafter the batsmen found i lie bowling, particularly Southall's, , too good, and the innings closed for 31 runs. •Southall .secured seven wickets tor 1(J runs, a splendid average. Service opened badly, three wickets falling for 10 runs. Simmons and Allkin then made a very useful stand, and the School's score was passed before the lit tli wicket iell. Tressider and Southall then became associated, and 25 runs ,were added before the seventh wicket fell. Southall was rather lucky, about three chances from him being declined before Grey caught him out. The innings closed' for 81. Following on, High School made only 43.
