THE CHERNLASKI TRIO
Undoubtedly one vi the most noteworthy events ol the coming musical season will be ilm tirst appearance in New Zealand of the Brothers Cherniavski, whose reputation in London and the Knglish provinces has grown during tiie last two seasons in a manner little short of amazing. It might have been supposed that the sun ot wonderment had set upon the age of musical prodigies, but these three clever young Russians have succeeded in stirring the most critical of London audiences — an enthusiasm recalling the earlier days of Mark Hambourg and Josel Hoffmann.
Mr Edward Branscombe, so well known throughout the colonies in connection with the Westminster (xlee and Concert Party and the Scarlet Troubadours, is directing the Cherniavski Concerts, and Tuesday, February 9 has been fixed for their appearance in the Theatre Royal, New Plymouth, for one recital only. The plan of reserved seats is now open at Collier and Colonial Piano Company, where second M»at tickets may also be obtained.
