KING by Mr. Vickers to offer for Public Compstiiion to the settlers of Taranaki, about SIXTY head of Superior Bred CATTLE lately imported from the well-known and Celebrated Stock of Mr. Imlay, Two fold Bay, New South Wales, consisting of From 30 to 40 Cows and Heifers, some of which are of the Durham breed, and pure. From 10 to 20 Steers and Bullocks. Also 9 Pure Bred, short-horned Durham Bulls. 15 Superior Rams, pure bred Merino, and the remainder quarter-bred Leicester*. Mr. A. Kino would beg leave to call tha attentiun of the settlers of Taranaki to tha important circumstance that now presents itself to them for the improvement in their breed of cattle — an opportunity that is not likely soon to occur again, and which no breeder or dairy farmer should allow to pass without ao attempt to avail himself of. The high character of the stock from which they have been selected is in iUelf a guarantee sufficient for the settlers of this district to estimate their proper value.
