[Before W. FRASER, Esq., R.M.] DRUNKENNESS. James Grey and Maria Smith were dealt with in the usual manner for being drunk the previous day. VIOLENT ASSAULT. John Panes, was brought up on remand charged with violently assulting Frisso Rotto at Tararu on the 21st instant. Mr. Bullen said there was difficulty in this case in finding a competent interpreter, and ho would ask for the case to stand over till next day. The R.M. said ho should feel obliged if the Press would notify that the ser vices of a person capable of interpreting the Spanish language were required.
