Per the New Zealand Press Association. 0 AUCKLAND. Intelligence has been received that satisfactory results have accrued from McLean’s last visit to the Waikato. A native meeting was held at Waotu, when Mr McLean’s views were fully explained. The Ngatiraukawa tribe have resolved to recede from the King, and define their own boundaries. Important changes are taking place in the Waikato. The number of Hauhau adherents are becoming very much reduced. In the Supreme Court the argument in banco in the case of Mackay versus Mcßoberts, in reference to allotments at Grahamstown, was resumed, and the Court decided in favour bf the plaintiff.
