The Rangatira brings the following passengers from the South and the East Coast : —Saloon : Miss Campbell, Mrs Wood, Messrs Smith, Grant, Baker, Mason, and Seager. Steerage : Messrs McKay aud Airey. The twin-screw steamer Jane made an experimental trip up aud down the harbour on Tuesday, Everything worked smoothly aud satisfactorily, a slight alteration to her screws being all that was found necessary to perfect her machinery. When completed the ordinary trial trip will take place.
