Cures opened at 47s Gd, and rapidly advanced to 67s 6d, with few sellers at 60s, receding slightly towards evening ; closing with sellers at 555. Mr J. M. Lennox reports:—The market continues tolerably active. Caledonian shares were in good demand at advanced prices. They rose to L3O, but closed with buyers at L2B 10s, sellers L 29 (without div.). Cure shares advanced to L2 Bs, closing firm with buyers L2 Bs, sellers L2 10s ; Thames are offering at LG 2s Gd, buyers LG ; Otago, LI; Ccutrel Italy, 265. Buyers of Gas shares at L 9 15s ; Caledoniau, Cure, and Otago shares at given quotations.
