VOLUNTEERING.

No. 3 Company H.R.V., after parade last night, which was well attended, adjourned to the Pembroke Hotel where a supper had been laid, in order to commemorate the anniversary of the formation of the company. Captain Newby occupied the chair, supported by Major Cooper and Lieutenant Lechner, and Lieutenant Macdonald graced the vice-chair. An excellent spread was provided by host Vincent, who is a member of the company, and after the table was cleared the loyal toasts were duly drunk. No time was then lost in proceeding to the fun of the evening, and songs followed one another rapidly. The company separated early after having thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
