TELEGRAMS.
Per the Hew Zealand Tnm Aisodetioa* NEWS REJECTING THE BULWARK, SUPPOSED TO BE LOST.—GREAT MEETING OF PROVINCIALISTS AND CENTRALISTS. AUCKLAND. _ „ Tuesday. The Evening Star hai published the following telegram from Wellington : “ Captain Chapman, of H.M. s. Dido, says that the Bulwark put into the Cape of Good Hope fdr provisions and fresh water only. “ He states that he saw the captain of the Bulwark, who said he expected to reach Auckland in 40 days. “ He intended to run down Eastings in parallel about 49 south to catch the trade winds. “ The Bulwark sailed from the Cape on the 14th of May. “ Captain Chamnan believes that the Bulwark must nave encountered icebergs.” „ ..j j v ,. , The Provincial Secretary and Treasurer have been .working very hard in anticipation of the adjourned meeting to-night to protect and strengthen the move made in the Assembly in favour of provincial institutions. Owing to the absence of the Mayor the meeting was not advertised in the daily papers. . r-'.»-v8 p.m, The meeting is proceeding now, and is very well attended. The speakers so far have all been provincialists.
