COURTS
POLICE COURT.—Saturday. [Before W. FRASER. Esq., B.M.] DRUNKENNESS. Thomas Taylor, William West, Wm. St. George, and Patrick McNally were dealt with in the usual manner for being drunk. TRANSFER OF LICENCE. An application was made for a transfer of licence from Louis Segar, Grand Junction Hotel, Moanataiari Creek, to Elizabeth Isaacs, his daughter-in-law. Mr Tyler appeared for the applicant. No objection was offered on the part of the police, but the R.M. said he doubted whether Miss Isaacs was 21 years of age, as she certainly did not look it. The young lady said she was 21, and that her mother had told her so. The R.M. said he did not wish to throw any unnecessary obstacles in the way, but still there was a responsibility resting upon him, aud he would adjourn the case until next day for the attendance of the mother.
