THEATRE ROYAL.
The “ Octoroon ” was re-produced at the Royal last night, and there was a very good audience to witness it. Most of the scenes seemed to go more smoothly than ou the hist night, aud the curtain had to be raised ou several occasions after the finish of the acts. Mr Hoskins played Salem Seudder well and naturally, and as Zoe, Miss Colville was quite as good as usual, aud we can say no more. To Mr Dunn we must give a word of praise for the very excellent style in which be played the Indian. We had hoped last night to see the scene, but oil representing tue light in the Swamp between MeClousuey aud the Indian put the picture at the liinsn mado up for the omission. Pete was very good and caused much merriment amongst ttie audience, being a capital funny nigger. The performance finished with a grand character dance by Madame Therese aud Monsieur Schmidt.
