We notice that the railway locomotive engine has been safely stabled in a large shed which has beeu erected for its accommodation a little way below the tunnel. A meeting of gentlemen, convened by circular, was held yesterday afternoon, in the large room of the Insurance Building, for the purpose of forming a Gymkhana Club. There was a very good attendance. Mr llobert Graham was elected to the chair. Captain Daveney moved, “That a committee should be formed to draw up rules, etc., to submit to a future meeting.” Seconded by Mr J. S. Macfariane, and agreed to. Mr Macfarlane proposed th.it a subscription of £SO should entitle the subscriber to be a life member ; that the entrance fee for ordinary members should be £lO, and the annual subscription £5. He stated that it would take £2,000 to cover cost of grand stand, etc, Mr Every McLean moved as an amendment. “ That the entrance fee be £5, and the and nual subsenptiou £2 25.” Seconded by Captaiu Daveney. There beiug no seconder to Mr MaeJarlane’s proposition, it laps-e I, and Mr McLean’s motion was unanimously carried. It was resolved that all mt.-uding members of the Club should be pmposeand seconded and balloted for. The following gentlemen were formed a committee, after which the meetiug adjourned :—Messrs James Watt, James Williamson, K. Granam, J. 6. Macfarlane. J. McLiver, B. J. Daveney, Walmesiey, A.
