An Englishman lately called at one of the Paris offices, to inquire how much it would cost to send himself home by post ? He was weighed, aud, after a little calculation, the clerk informed him that it would cost 8,G46 fraucs. The sum was counted out: but the police were summoned, and "milord” was led back to his hotel, aud pronounced insane.
