COROMANDEL MINING NEWS.
(from our own correspondent.) Green Harp commenced taking the water out of the shaft this morning, and expect, to get it out by Thursday, when an inspection will be made, and tbe reef proved for the satisfaction of the public.* Bismarck : A meeting of the directors is now being held to investigate the statements that have been made with reference to the specimens crushed, and the supposed swindle, but as the Press is not admitted, we are not in a position to state what is being done. [We are informed that after the meeting commenced it was resolved to adm ; t members of the lV'Ss, but none were at hand at the time, so that no public report was obtained. The meeting, or apm lion of it, tri< d to pass a vote of censure on Messrs Luks and Shepherd, but failed to do so, and the meeting broke up in great confusion.— Ed T.G.j The Tokatea have arranged with the Bismarck for the use of their tunnel, the former making a road, and paying half the expenses of re-timbering the ground. rp he Ilnya l Oak is sti'l crushing, and will he finished this evening, wlnui the Neptune will start upon 20 tons, which is expected to yield 1 joz. to the ton. The weather has been so bad that litt'e or nothing is doing at any of the claims.
