Mr J. M. Lcunox Reports : —There was great inquiry for aud a large business doue in Caledonian shares to-day, shares rose to £25 aud closed firm with buyers at P 25. My sales comprise : LlO, LlO 10s, L2O, L2l. L 22, L 23 L 24, L 25 ; Gas shares, L 9 6g ; Bismarck were sold at L2 10s. There re very few inquiries for other stocks. Closing buyers: Caledonian, L 25 ; Thames, L 5 15s; Insurance shares, LSO. Sellers : Caledonian, L2G ; Thames, LG ; Gas shares, LO 15s ; Insurance shares. L. 52 lUs.
