Miscellaneous. i NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENI LIFE - INSURANCE AND ANNUITIES. | ' j THE Government having been empowered by special Acts of the Legislature toeuter into contracts for Insurance on Lives, and for the Grants of Annuities and Endowments, are now prepared to execute any of the usual contracts dependent upon the contingencies of human life. The following advantages are presented as deserving of Fuulic attention, and especially of the Working Classes 1. All transactions, and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, arc free of Stamp Duty aud all taxation. 2. No charge is made beyond the pur-chase-money or premium, paid quart- ■ erly. half-yearly, or annually. 3, Fourteen or twenty-one days of grace, according to the intervals of payment, are allowed beyond the due dates ; and should the assured die duriug these periods, the policy will still be valid. 4 Surrender values arc grauted pn the whole or any part of a contract which has endured for five years. 5. The tables of Premiums in’ all the branches are considerably less than any other office in New Zealand. 6. Residence is permitted in any part o the Australasiau Colonies or Europe and premiums may always be paid on the due dates at the nearest Money Order Office. 7. Insurances effected for the benefit of aud settled .on Wife or Children are free, to the txtent of £2OOO, from the claims of Creditors. 8. The Consolidated Revenue of the Colony is liable for all claims, in the event of the receipts (which are safely invested at compound interest) at auy time being insufficient to meet demands, thus affording the best security to the Assured. _ The fullest information can be obtained ou application to any Monfcy Order Office, or Government Schoolmaster, or to Cecil. These Pills have been placed by the common consent of mankind at the head of all remedies for removing noxious poisons from the blood, aud cleansing all the tissues of the body. Indigestion with languor and want ot energy. When taking these Pills, rub Holloway’s celebrated Ointment over the pit of the stomach, and over the regions of the liver, on the right side under the ribs,and you will at once experience a change for the better in your digestion, spirits, appetite, strength, and energy. The improvement, though it may be gradual, will be thorough and lasting. DROPSY. The efficacy of Holloway’s Pills in dropsy is extraordinary. They act with such peculiar effect upon the system, that the fluids arising from this direful disease are imperceptibly carried off aud prevented from any further accumulation. The sufferer regains a buoyancy of spirits and rejoices in a completely renovated constitution ; but it is indispensably necessary that the Ointment should be most effectually rubbed into the complaining parts. Stomach, Liver, Kidneys, and Bowels. Those who suffer from bile and liver complaiuts, “-hould try the effects of this valuable remedy, a few doses of which will make the sufferer feel elastic and vigorous, removing all impurities, giving a healthy action to the liver ; if bilious attacks be allowed to continue, serious casualties may arise, and the sufferer be consigned to a bed of sickness. In all disorders of the kidneys, the Ointment should be well rubbed into the small of the back ouce or twice a day ; and the Pills acting in unison, will cure auy complaints arising from these orga_.s. Puffy,—Shortness of Breath with Weakness. Very bad symptoms, which if not corrected, may tend to some serious disorders of the heart, or other vital organs. Eat moderately of solids, take six Pillsmghtly for some little time ; take plenty of fresh air with moderate exercise, and the human machiuery will be quickly restored to health aud vigor. Try this but for three days only, aud the results will be marvellous. Complaints incident to Children. All complaints of Chihtreu rnay soon be cured if care be takeu to purify tneir blood, correct the action of the liver, aud cleanse their stomachs and bowels ; a few doses of these famous Pills will immediately have ihe desired effect, particularly if parents i>e careful! in not allowing them to eat of things which they know would be injurious to themselves.
