WESTPORT. Great indignation is excited at the conduct of Mr O’Connor, and it is probable that his resignation will be demanded. At Charleston also great indignation is felt. Mr O’Connor has failed to carry the motion for inquiry. The meeting have decided to suspend judgment. The defaulting Government clerk Barbor, has been remanded. A boatman named Wilson is missing, and is supposed to have been drowned. OTAGO. Mr Maccasscy has served a writ on Judge Ward, for libel.
