The Independent of to-day urges the enforcement of the quarantine regulations on all vessels from San Francisco with tne slightest signs of small-pox on board, and also urges that greater attention should be paid to vaccination. CANTERBURY. Christchurch. Messrs Hart, Jelison, and the Rev. Mr Bluett are candidates for the representation of Coleridge in th eGeneral Assembly'.
