MASONIC ADDRESS TO H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES.
The following address from the masons of Auckland and the Thames, has been forwarded by the mail. The address, which is very beautifully and tastefully executed, is the work of Bro. E. Dickson. TO BEOTHER FIS ROYAL HIGHNESS ALBERT EDWARDJ?RIN<2E OF WALES, PAST GRAND MASTER OF T'E ENGLISH CONSTITUTION OF FREEMASONS.GRAND PATRON OF FREEMASONARY IN SCOTLAND AND IRELAND. May it please your Royal Highness— On behalf of the members of the fraternity of free and accepted Masons resident in the province of Auckland, in the j colony of New Zealand, wo desire respectfully to convey to your Royal Highness our fraternal and cordial congratulations on your restoration to health after a most severe and serious illness; and we unite in gratitude to the Most High for the signal mercy thus vouchsafed to Her Majesty the Queen, to the Royal Family, to the British People, and, not least, to the Fraternity of Freemasons. Dwelling, as we do, in the remotest region of the
earth, we are necessarily tardy in presenting this dutiful address; but we beg to assure your Royal Highness that in this portion of the empire there are cherished the most lively sentiments of loyal affection to our Soveieign and to her dynasty. Devoutly praying that the Supreme Ruler of all may have you ever in His holy keeping, and richly endow you with all temporal and eternal benefits, we have the honor to remain, with fraternal regard, your Royal Highness’ most faithful and humble brethren and servants.
