THE Gove-nment having been empowered by special Acts of the Legislature to cuter into contracts for Insurance on Lives, and for the Grants of Annuities and Endowments, - are now prepared to execute any of the usual contracts dcpci de it upon the contingencies of human life. The following advantages are presented as deserving of Public attention, and especially of the Working Classed l. : All transactions, and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, are*,, frec of Stamp Duty and all taxation. 2. No charge;is made beyond the pur-chase-money or premium, paid quarterly. half-yearly, or annually. 3. Fourteen or twenty-one days of grace, according to the intervals' of payment, are allowed beyond the due dates ; and should the assured die during these periods, the policy will still be valid. 4. Surrender values are granted on the whole or. any part of a contract which has endured for five years. 5. The tables of Premiums in all the branches are considerably less than any other office in New Zealand. 6. Residence is permitted in any part o the Australasian Colonies or-Enrope and premiums may always fee"-paid on the due dates at the nearest Money Order Office. 7. Insurances effected for the benefit of and settled on Wife or Children are free, to the txtent of £2OOO, from the claims of Creditors. 8.
