LATEST COROMANDEL NEWS.

The Green Harp, in the upper level, have followed the leader for twenty or thirty feet, and have carried good gold all the way along. The crushing about to be commenced is expected to yield very richly. . In the shaft sunk to catch the lode below, they have followed the lode some distance, and have tiken out some magnificent specimens.

The Golconda tunnel has readied the reef, and oti the winze sunk on the lode some very good stone has been found. The Lucky Diggers have cut the Golconda lode, and are getting good payable prospects from it. The Green Flag has been working on private property, and an injunction has been applied for to stop them working any more.

The Tunnel company are now in 300 feet on the Coromandel side of the spur, and 100 feet on the Kennedy’s Bay side where the drive is going through very hard country indeed.

The Tokatea low level tunnel is in 276 feet, and they have followed the reef for 76 feet out of that distance. The lode isyielding good specimens. In the upper workings, at the end of the 400 feet tunnel they have struck a large reef which has not yet been cut through. The winze is now within 20 feet of the lower level, and gold is seen every shift. On Friday and Saturday 250 pounds weight of specimens were obtained. The Bismarck tunnel is in for 365 feet and this drive will give them 150 feet of backs on the lode. Good gold is visible in the winze which is 20 feet deep.
