Miscellaneous. NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE AND ANNUITIES. THE Government having been empowered by special Acts of the Legislature toeuter into contracts for Insurance on Lives, and for the Grants of Annuities and Endowments, are now prepaied to execute any of the usual contracts depe. de it upon the contingencies of human life. The following advantages are presented as deserving of Public attention, and especially of the Working Classes : 1. All transactions, and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, are free of Stamp Duty and all taxation. 2. No charge is made beyond the pur-chase-money or premium, paid quarterly. half-yearly, or annually. 3. Fourteen or twenty-one days of grace, according to the intervals of payment, are allowed beyond the due dates ; and should the assured die during these periods, the policy will still be valid. 4. Surrender values are granted on the whole or any part of a contract which has endured for five years. 5. The tables of Premiums in all the branches are considerably less than any other office in New Zealand. C. Residence is permitted in any part o the Australasian Colonies or Europe and premiums may always be paid on' the due dates at the nearest Money Order Oiliee. 7. Insurances effected for the benefit of and settled on Wife or Children are free, to the extent of £2OOO, from the claims of Creditors. 8. The Consolidated Revenue of the Colony is liable for all claims, iu the event of the receipts (which are safely invested at compouud interest) at any time being insufficient to meet demands, thus affording the best security to the Assured.
