At the outset the companj* to he co-operative and local, hut it is intended, when tested and found to succeed, to extend operations to all parts of the colony. A deputation of the Chamber of Commerce waited upon Mr Seed respecting drawbacks. It was recommended to refund duty paid in certain cases. The abolition of limitations as to l : me and places of export was also recommended.
