A VALUABLE BATTERY, in constant work, consisting of 15 head of stampers, driven by steam power, with Furnaces, Tables, Berdan, &c., situated on the Beach, Grahamstown, and on the line of the proposed tramway, has been seemed on very advantageous terms. The Company thus becoming proprietors of a Battery in full work, profit to the shareholders would be realised from its commencement. The great and increasing demand for crushing power at the Thames is a sufficient guarantee that t would prove a highly remunerative investment. It is purposed to employ the capital of the Company as it is called np, after paying for the Battery, either in erecting additional stampers, or in pmchatiing Machinery for the treatment of Tailings.
