CORRESPONDENCE.

[TFe do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions of our Correspondents. Name and address of the writer must appear on the copy to insure publication.']

To the Editor of the Thames Guaudian. Sir, —The Cemetery Committee desire to call the attention of the public to the condition of the road leading to the Ceineie:y, which in a few weeks will, probably, lie quite impassable, unless immediate steps are taken to meet the case. Application has been made for Government aid, but this cannot be granted unless the road is formally dedicated to the public ; but, as winter and death do not wait for dedicated roads or Government scruples, the Committee now appeal to the public to subscribe sufficient funds to put the read in repair. In full confidence that this appeal will be promptly responded to, the Committee have arranged with Mr Cameron (who has offered his services gratuitously) to have the necessary work proceeded with immediately; and, to obtain the funds, a list will be left at each of the banks, and subscriptions will be received by Mr Renshaw, Owen-street; Mr Bowden, Brownstreet ; and Mr C. Fletcher, Exchange Buildings ; in addition to which, Mr R. Perstou has been appointed collector, to solicit contributions from all parties, and, if every man in the community will subscribe only one shilling each, it will provide ample funds for all that is needed.— Signed on behalf of the Committee, J. Rensiiaw, Secretary. April 18th, 1872.
