POLICE COURT. —Yesterday. Be'ore Jackson Keddell, Esq., R.M.

Drunkenness. Bernard. Alavtin was charged with, being, delink and incapable in Owen street, Grahamsfown,' on the morning of the 18th instant. He pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s, or 24 hours’ itnP'isomnent, and, in addition, three da vs’ imprisonment, this being ihe third offence within the past three months. Assault.— James Connors was charged with assaulting, on the 15th inst., at Grahamstowu, Edward Lee Alillett, by seizing him by the back of the coat and tearing it. When the case was called on there was no appearance of either party, and it was struck out.

Another Assault. —James Taylor was charged with having assaulted Walter James White by striking him on the face with his clenched hand on the 17th inst. at Grahamstowu. In this case also the parties failed to appear, and the case was struck out.
