VOLUNTEERING.
The Engineer Company, under the command of Captain Goldsmith, assembled in good numbers last evening at the t oluuteer llall. The men were put through the manual and platoon exercise. The greater number of the new members arc old volunteers, and are consequently very fairly up in their drill, although the company will require plenty of drill to make a good show on the Queen's Birthday.
The Artillery Naval Brigade squad met on the beach last evening, under the command of Captain Best, and were drilled at the guns. The men appear to be very familiar with their work, and quick in their movement.
The Thames Scottish Company will assemble this evening for the annual inspection of Major Cooper. The men will appear in full uniform, arms, and accoutrements.
