IN terms of Section 53 of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871,1 hereby give notice that the land formerly held by the Oxford Gold Mining Company (Limited),'and previously by the Lord Raglau Gold Mining Company (Registered), between the Karaka J and Rape Creeks, and containing -8 acres 3 roods 4 perches, having become forfeited, applications may be made to me in writing for the same on Tuesday, 30th April, 1872. IN terms of Section 53 of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, I hereby give notice that the land formerly held under lease by Mr John Batten, on the Waiotahi Creek, immediately south of that held by the South Pacific and Vale of Avoca Gold Mining Companies, containing 5 acres 2 roods and 24 perches, having become forfeited, applications may be made to me iu writing for the same on Tuesday, the 30th April, 1872. * WM. BY virtue of the powers to me delegated by the Governor in Council, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, under The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871,” I do hereby exempt from occupation for mining pin poses or machine sites, or for business or for residence, all those portionsof land situate within the boundaries of the Hauraki Gold Mining District under the said Act, which are particularly described in the Schedule hereunder. Provided always that the above exemption shall not extend to auy portion of the said lauds now lawfully occupied for i fining purposes.
