I HEREBY give notice that I desire to construct a WATER RACE for Mining purposes, commencing at a point o:i the Tararu Creek, below Brown & Campbe’l's Tail Race, and terminating near the Beach, as shown on the plan lodged herewith. The length of such Race is 2,000 feet, or thereabouts, and its intended course is nearly blast and West, through private property ; the mean depth and breadth of such Race is 86 inches by 18 inches; and it is capable of carrying live sluice heads of water. Iu terms of Section .11 of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871,1 hereby give notice that on the 2nd day of April, 1872, I intend to grant a License to the Applicant for the above Water Race, unless valid objections be iu the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office, r.ot less than seven clear days before that date.
