I HEREBY give notice that I desire to construct a WATER RACE for Mining purposes, commencing at a point on the 'J'araru Creek, below Brown & Campbell’s Tail Race, and terminating near the Beach, as shown on the plan lodged herewith. The length of such Race is 2,000 feet, or thereabouts, and its intended course is nearly East and West, through private property ; the mean depth and breadth of such Race is iUi inches by 18 inches ; and it is capable of carrying five sluice heads of water. In terms of Section ill of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, l hereby give notice that on the 2nd day of April, 1«72. 1 intend to grant a License to the Applicant for the above Water Race, unless valid objections be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office, r.ot less than seven clear days before that date.
