Wk deeply regret to have to chronicle an ! event that will have brought sorrow into i the licait of a highly respected family, being 1],,; death of'.Mr Frederick Hoskotb (brother to Mr Ldwin Ilesketh, barrister), by drowning. lie had been slaving at Riverbead tor seme time past with O'Meara’s survey paity, and yesterday morning went to the water hole for the purpose of washing some a. tides of clothing, but be being absent from breakfast so long Mr Tcnsilale and .Mr Stabbing, two of the pa;!v, went to look for him and discovered him lying on bis face at tbe bottom of the water hole, which was about three and a half feet deep. Efforts to restore animation were unavailing. It is surmised that he bad been seized with an epileptic tit to which be was subject, and had fallen info the water. The body of tbe deceased was conveyed to town on 1' inlay evening by the Gemini and placed at the \\ nitfcmata Hotel.— f(uitt<j t'lar. [An inquest was held on .Saturday afternoon, when a verdict of “ Accidental death was returned. The deceased was ottered yesterday at Reinuera.]
