(from our own correspondent.) Friday, 11 a.m. The s.s. Hero arrived here to-day from Sydney and Melbourne. She left Melbourne on the 6th, and Sydney on the 10th at 7.15 p.m. Rounded the North Cape at 2.25 p.m. on the 15tli, arriving here at 16 o’clock this morning. Fresh easterly winds prevailed the first part of the passage, thence light N.E. winds. Passengers—From Melbourne : Mrs Plunkett and three children, Mrs Carruthers, Messrs Graham, Baker, Black, Bartlett, Buckland, and 35 in the steerage. From Sydney : Mr and Mrs Cazaly and family (3), Lieut. Byron and Mrs Byron, Mr and Mrs Luscombe, Mrs Salamou and child. Mrs Mariner and child, Mrs Gray and child, Mrs Cowpcr, Mrs Baker, Misses Bloomfield, Black, French, Griffiths, Dr Young, Messrs Lipstciue, Solomon, Young, and 10 in the steerage. The A.S. sloop of war St. Mary sailed this morning for South America. 5 p.m. The schooner Annie Moore left Sydney on the 27tli ult. for Grahamstown, with the following cargo : —O2 cases wine and spirits, 10 cases oilmans’ stores, 107 bags salt, 2 cases earthenware, 50 cases beer, 250 bags maize, 500 spokes, 1 carriage, 15 bales hay, 3 tons potatoes, i ton onions, 50 cases fruit, 140 felloes, 600 bags bone dust. The s.s. City of Melbourne is to bring the Australian mail and passengers for England, per Nevada. She was to have left Sydney to-day (Friday).
