Miscellaneous. NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE AND ANNUITIES. THE Government having been empowered by special Acts of the Legislature to cuter into contracts for Insurance on Lives, and for the Grants of Annuities and Endowments, arc now prepared to execute any of the usual contracts dependent upon the contingencies of human life. The following advantages are presented as deserving of l’ublic attention, and especially of the Working Glasses : 1. All transactions, and Powers of Attorney, and other documents, are free of Stamp Duty and all taxation. 2. No charge is made beyond the pur-chase-money or premium, paid quarterly, half-yearly, or annually. 3. Fourteen or twenty-one days of grace, according to the intervals of payment, arc allowed beyond the due dates ; and should the assured die during these periods, the policy will still be valid. <l. Surrender values are granted on the whole or any part of a contract which has endured for five years, o. The tables of Premiums iu all the branches are considerably less than any other office in New Zealand. 0. Residence is permitted iu any part o the Australasian Colonics or Europe and premiums may always be paid on the due dates at the nearest Money Order Office. 7. Insurances effected for the benefit of and settled on Wife or Children arc free, to the txtent of £2OOO, from the claims of Creditors. 8. The Consolidated Revenue of the Colony is liable for all claims, iu the event of the receipts (which are safely invested at compound interest) at any time being insufficient to meet demauds, thus affording the best security to tiie Assured.
