At the Supreme Court, Christchurch, a few days ago. a farmer at l'rebbleton, named sr‘llrath, was east in A3OO damages for the seduction of Harriett Beilinson, the daughter of one of his neighbours. 'I he father of the rdrl was plaintiff in the action, and to him the damages have to he paid. Defendant lias also, under order from the Resident Magistrate's Court to pay 10s per week for the maintenance of the child.
