Greyille <St CO.’S (neuter’s Agents) EXPRESS. Auckland, 2.5 p.ra. At the Police Court, this morning Thomas Foley was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment with hard labour for breaking a number of panes of plass, also to pay the cost of the damage. Manuel Seloy, for stealing a coat from a Maori, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment. 9 p.m. Tlic quartz from the Northern Wairoa was tested at the New Zealand Bank today, and yielded Boz. to the ton. The exact locality from which tho stone was taken lias not been disclosed. The meeting of the Crown Prince G.M.C. was adjourned for want of a quorum.
