St. Mary, American sloop-of-war, from Sydney, Amateur, schooner, from Lyttelton. The U.S. sloop-of-war St. Mary, Commander T. C. Harris, arrived in harbour this morning from Sydney, which port she left on the sth. She sailed from San Francisco on October IS, 1870, since which time she has visited the following ports : Honolulu. Talcahauna, Valparaiso, Coquimbo, and Caldera. Ariea and Callao, Tahiti, Apia and Levuka, and Sydney. She also made a visit to the Phccnix Islands to locate some islands whose positions wore doubtful. The St Alary is an old-fashioned sailing sloop, carrying a battery of 14 Sin. TJalilgren guns, and two tiOlb. Parrott rifles. During tiie cruise nothing of particular interest lias happened. From this port the St. Mary will proceed hack to the South American coast. The following are the names of her principal oliiecrs : Commander T. C. Harris, Lieut, Commander T. T. Wilson. Licuts. D. W. Davis and W. J. Moore, Masters E. D. F. Ileald and E. F. Norton, Surgeon G. S. Beardsley.

The schooner Amateur, from Lyttelton, with grain, arrived this morning, after a long passage. No signs of mail steamer Nebraska.
