Flour has ruleil firmer, and quotations are 20s or 2ds per ton higher. Th" supply of maize lias fallen off. and good samples are .scarce, and could be placed in pa rials at 4s '.ld to ns. Feed oats are also firmer, and we hear of a superior sample realizing 4s 41,d. Bran is only in moderate supply, and is variously quoted at 1s ‘id to 2s. Wines, spirits, tobacco. Ac. are without change, and only quitted for trade requirements. Candles are tinner, owing to recent advices from Australia, where best brands arc quoted lip! to Is. The sudden decline of mining property has had a depressing eil'cct on general business, but frequenters of the Exchange Corner are looking forward to a rise, and express confidence in a reaction.
