POLICE CO U RT. —Yesterday.
Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M. Drun kex ness.— Tautoro and 1 ’aranihi a (Maoris) and Bernard Marlin, were charged with drunkenness, and dealt with in the usual manner. Mr Warbrick acted as interpreter for the Maoris. Vackant Goats. Benedict GalL’erty, charged with permitting two goats to stray in Baillie street, on the 13th instant, pleaded guilty, and was lined 2s. and costs. The defendant said ho i was unable to appear the previous day, as he had hurt his leg about a fortnight ago. The II.M. said this was rather a lame excuse.
