■\Vk are sorry to hear that a man named Parker met with a serious accident yes torday, whilst at work on the telegraph line which is now being extended towards Ohinemuri. Whilst engaged in stretching the wire from one pole to another, the unfortunate man fell, and broke his collarbone. lie was at once removed to the Hospital, where, we are glad to hear, he is progressing favourably.
