We have papers by Sydney to the 29th November. A hill lias been introduced into the Assembly to provide for payment of members. As small coin is rather scarce in Levuka a publican lias issued one and two shilling notes. News lias been received that the schooner Peri had proceeded to Biva for the purpose of seizing the Solomon Island natives who were on that island from the Mcva cutter. The Government have also despatched the Jeanie Duncan for the same purpose. Jn order to provide for their safe custody upon their arrival in Levuka. it is intended to build a strong wooden house for their reception, as well as for the custody of the eight Malic-010 men at present in the hands of the police. These latter were recently removed from the present station-house ami Indeed up in a building at (Ik- rear of the stores of the Messrs. Hennings, Tofoga, in order to provide room for the daily requirements of the place.
