Por Grcvillo and Co.'s Express (Reuter's Agents,. A meeting of shareholders of the Herald G.M.C. was held to-day. The report of the legal manager expressed a hope that the overdraft at the bank of £1,076 would soon be paid off, and that the company will shortly be able to pay dividends. The report of the mine manager expressed an opinion that the underlie of the Caledonian must pass through tho Herald mine. The reports were adopted. Messrs Combes and Heron were elected directors. A large concourse of people assembled at the Barracks to-day to witness the cricket match. The scoring was very poor, Millar’s howling and fielding very good. Millar howled out, first innings, score 4; second innings, caught out, score 4.
