LODGE OF LIGHT, I.C.
The members of the above Lodge met last night at the lodge room, Wharf Hotel, at 7 p.m., for the installation of the officebearers for the next six months. The following were installed: —Brother J. Hopcraft, W.M.; Brother S. Young, S.W.; Brother J 0. Jones, J.W. ; Brother Rev. V. Lush, chaplain ; Brother F. Lipsey, treasurer ; Brother Wallnutt, secretary ; Brother Wm Laird, S.D.; Brother J. Preston, J.D.; Brother J. Cheshire, 1.G.; Brother J. Ross, tyler. After the completion of the ceremony of installation the Brethren adjourned to the Naval Drill shed, where ample justice was done to a collation provided for the occasion by brother L. R. James of the Q.C.E. Dining Rooms, who had everything arranged in his well known »nd artistic style. About 40 brethren sat down, and when the inner man had been satisfied the following programme of toasts was 'gone through : “ Queen and Craft,” “ Brother H.R.11. the Prince of Wales and the rest of the Royal F’amily,” “ The Grand Lodges of England, Ireland, and Scotland,”proposed by the W.M. “ The Provincial Grand Lodge of Ireland, coupled with the name of P.M. Brother Wallnutt,” proposed by the W.M., responded to by Brother Wallnutt. “ The Newly Installed Master, ’’proposed by P.M. Brother .T. J. Fitzgibbon; responded to by the W.M. *• Newly Installed Officers,” proposed by P.M. Noonan; responded to by S.W. Brother S. Young, J.W. Brother Jones, and S.D. Brother W. Laird. “ The Army, Navy, and Volunteers,” proposed by the S.W., responded to by Brother Bobertson for Army, Brother P.M. Fitz Gibbon for Navy, and Brother Captain Captain Lipsey for the Volunteers. “ Sister Lodges in the Province of Auckland, coupled with the name of Sir Walter Soott,” proposed by Brother J. O. Jones, J.W.; responded to by Brother Robeuson. “ Visiting Brethren, ” proposed by Brother Lipsey, treasurer ; responded to By Brother M'Laren. “ Masons’ Wives and Masons’ Bairns, coupled with the name of Brother McCullough,” proposed by P.M. Brother Wall* nutt, responded to by Brother McCullough. “ Poor and Distressed Brethren all over the world,” proposed by Brother Lush, Chaplain ; drunk in silence. “ Host Brother L. R. James,” proposed by the W.M.; responded to Brother James. “ Brother P.M. J. J. Fitzgibbon.” proposed by S. W. Young; responded to by Brother P.M. J.J, Fitzgibbon.
Our next merry meeting,” proposed by Brother Robertson; drunk with musical honours —“ Auld Lang Syne.”
