THAMES HOSPITAL.

The annual election of officers of this most useful institution will take place at the general meeting to be held on the third Wednesday in January. Duly qualified subscribers alone are entitled to vote. It is laid down in the rules that subscribers shall mean life subscribers, and subscribers of not less than 5s during the preceding year, and where contributions come through a mining manager, his certificate of contributions to the required amount shall entitle the subscriber to a vote, provided alwa-ys that all such subscriptions shall have been paid before the first day of January preceding the annual general meeting. There is not a man on the field who onght not to bo a subscriber of at least 5s to the Thames Hospital, and it will be well to bear in mind that by subscribing this small amount before the first of next month, a vote for the election of officers will be secured. Tbe hospital is, all things considered, well supported, but additional funds would enable the committee to extend its usefulness, and we make no doubt but the public will come forward liberally, each according to his means, and that everybody will subscribe in the course of this week. It will he money well laid out, and there are few, if any, amongst us who cannot afford to contribute something to this most excellent institution
