Thames Guardian’ Office, Tuesday, December 20. TEAMEB SSHAREMAftKET. The sharemarket during the past week lias been unusually depressed, and stocks were freely offered at low rates, owing in a great measure to the approach of Christmas and the holidays. Caledonians, which were L 37 on Saturday night, closed at L7O, and Thames LIS : Nonpareils. L 4 3s ; All Nations, L 3 12s 'Od : Moanataians, L 4 : Moanataiari Unions, 8s Od ; Californians, 17s Od. and in demand j at los in large parcels ; Windsor Castle, 10s ; City of Loudon. 8s Od ; Queen of May, 4s ; Standards, 3s Od ; Otagos, L 3 3s ; Waitematas, 10s 6d, buyers ; Golden Calf, L2 17s Od ; Central of Italy. L2 13s ; Italians. 8s Od : Ruby, 3s Od : Multum in Parvo, 8s ; Red Queens sold freely during the week at from 0s to Bs, and closed firm ; Star of the Thames. 10s; Thames View, 2s 6d and 3s ; Golden Lious, 3s : Lions, 2s Od ; Albumins. L 3 10s. Towards the close of Saturday evening there was enquiry for leading stock, but buyers were more plentiful than sellers at the prices held at during the week : and the holidays seem welcomed in with a restoration of confidence in the market.
