Darmstadt, October 24: The Court Theatre in this city took fire this afternoon. The theatre is entirely destroyed. The stormy wind carries the flames and sparks westward into the upper town. The arsenal is in danger, and the troops have evacuated it. Turin, November 3 : The Italian Government contemplates the fortification of the Alpine passes, at the cost of some 7,00G,0U0f. Berlin, November 4: The Reichstag to-day, passed the War Fund Bill. During the debate prior to its passage, Bismarck urged the necessity, in the present aspect of European affairs, of strengthening the country by thus empowering the Emperor to act promptly and freely under any adverse or threatening circumstances which may arise. The passage of the bill, which was recommended in the Emperor’s address, would leave his Majesty unshackled, would virtually place the Prussians in a position to act either upon the offensive or defensive. No complications are at present apparent.
